| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds support for multiple brick translator stacks running in a single brick server process. This reduces our per-brick memory usage by approximately 3x, and our appetite for TCP ports even more. It also creates potential to avoid process/thread thrashing, and to improve QoS by scheduling more carefully across the bricks, but realizing that potential will require further work. Multiplexing is controlled by the "cluster.brick-multiplex" global option. By default it's off, and bricks are started in separate processes as before. If multiplexing is enabled, then *compatible* bricks (mostly those with the same transport options) will be started in the same process. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The EXPORT procedure of the MOUNT protocol does not correctly create structures for the 'groupnodes' in the reply. Each 'groupnode' should be a single entry in the 'nfs.rpc-auth-allow' volume option. Because the value is handled as a single string, the encoding of the groupnode->gr_name fails when the value of the volume option is longer than 255 characters. In the error case, encoding the EXPORTS reply fails, and the waiting 'showmount' command will not receive a reply and times out. Splitting the allowed entries and creating a groupnode for each one prevents the too long ->gr_name. This is following the structures for the EXPORTS reply in the MOUNT protocol more correctly as well. Note that the contents of ->gr_name is expected to be server dependent. There are around 300 regression tests, 250 being in tests/bugs. Running partial set of tests/bugs is not easy because this is a flat directory with almost all tests inside. It would be valuable to make partial test/bugs easier, and allow the use of mulitple build hosts for a single commit, each running a subset of the tests for a quicker result.
